Section Title

At Pleasant Grove Assembly, our purpose is to "Become, and help everyone within our reach to become, fully devoted followers of Christ." We achieve this purpose by joining together as the local church with a single vision and the following set of values:

  • Prayer - Intimate communication and fellowship with God.

"Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."

    Ephesians 6:18

  • Biblical Integrity - Scripture is the foundation for all training, teaching and equipping.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

    2 Timothy 3:16-17

  • Next Generation Focused - Reach, teach and reproduce future generations with biblical values and godly character.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."

    Deuteronomy 6:4-9

  • Excellence - Giving our best for the glory of God.

"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

    Colossians 3:23-24

  • Serving - serving our Lord through Gift Oriented Ministry.

"Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good."

    1 Corinthians 12:7

  • Unity - Devoting ourselves to the building up of each other through fellowship, prayer, and love.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

    Acts 2:42-47
